Artist: Christopher Wiggins

10" x 13" Framed | Acrylic and Watercolor on Paper | 2016

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Graffiti artist Christopher Wiggins made his white cube debut On The Ground Floor with this acrylic and watercolor painting on paper inspired by Orson Welles' 1965 performance in Chimes at Midnight. Wiggins brings color and kinks to Orson's portrayal of Sir John Falstaff, a reluctant knight and famous fool created by Shakespeare. Rather than holding out on war, Christopher's "Falstaff" holds out on love, begrudgingly giving in to the full red lips crossing into his territory.

WHERE TO PUT THIS WORK: Any room where romance beckons.

WHY WE EXHIBITED THIS: We believe love should be fun. This piece echoes the humor found in mature affection.
